RACKETS
Match Point Tennis Shop carries
racquets from:
Wilson, Head, Prince, Babolat and Dunlop.
Racquets can be classified as control
racquets, sometimes called a player's racquet, power
racquets, or racquets with a blend of control and power.
Control racquets are usually heavier, have a flexible
frame, and are usually head light. Power racquets are head
heavy and normally lighter then control racquets. The
racquets with a blend of power and control are balanced
and are less flexible then a control racquet but more
flexible than a power racquet. We try to carry at least
one racquet in each of the above categories per
manufacturer.
Selecting a tennis racquet is a very personal
decision. Of course, the type of player you are and
your swing help establish the type of racquet best suited
for you. The deciding factor is usually how it feels
to you and how well you play with the racquet.

Demo Racquets!
We encourage customers who are looking for a new racquet
to take advantage of our demo plan. We feel that by
understanding the technology of the racquets and getting
a feel for it on the court, our customers will be able
to make informed buying decisions. The feel of the racquet
to the customer will supercede any technology.
We try to maintain an inventory of demo
racquets that are current, which allows our customers
to try the newest racquets available.
The cost of a demo racquet for three days
is $5.00 per racquet. A customer may demo up to two
racquets at any one time. Once the customer has paid
$20.00 in demo fees (tried 4 racquets) the customer
may continue to demo racquets without any additional
fee for up to 90 days. If a customer decides to buy
a racquet from Match Point Tennis Shop within 90 days
of paying a demo fee, the fee paid can be used to offset
the price of any new racquet.
